The strong brown land aeons old, standing rooted, grounded for ever more, living, breathing, loving, giving food, shelter and love to all its inhabitants. The wide brown land made from the stars. The evening sky filled with dots and pin pricks of white flickering, glittering light. Some forming shapes. An awesome sight of starry other worlds far, far, far away. A formation of black bodies and wings flying with natural symmetry and rhythm, chatting as they travel on air towards their roosts for the night. Fly safe beautiful birds – we love you. Sun going down. A pale imitation of its noon day self. Sunlight shining through the branches, making shadows on the house walls, on the tiles of the patio. The cool of evening is nigh.
