Children's Book Author. I love old toys! Here are some photos of my collection. This silly-looking baby rattle is made of celluloid, an early plastic. The bears at my house are always ready for a cup of tea. Here’s an old game called “Puzzle-Peg.” Historians say peg games date back to the 17th century. Meet my childhood dolls, Kathy and Bunny. Kathy misbehaved a lot! She even took puffs of my mom’s cigarettes! Here’s a homemade church made of wood. It sure must be fun for paper dolls to wear new outfits.

Children's Book Author. I live with my husband Cliff in Hillsborough, North Carolina. I have two grown daughters, Kath and Laura. Kath is a Registered Dietitian and writes the popular food blog, Kath Eats Real Food. Laura is a school psychologist and writes Taking Back My Twenties. The two guys reading are Laura’s husband, Matt, and Kath’s husband, Matt (reading to Lillian, our wonderful cat who died last year). And yes, “Matt” is a lucky name in our family.
