Connections by Karen S Musgrave: Ever Shrinking Art
http://connectionsbykaren.blogspot.com/2014/11/ever-shrinking-art.html
Wednesday, November 19, 2014. Even the largest avalanche is triggered by small things. On Saturday, I taught my "Ever Shrinking Art" class at Quilters Quest. In Woodridge, to a great group of women. Joy left before I took this photo. I think they did great! We started by making postcards then moved to making ATCs and finally inchies. I remember thinking that I could never make tiny pieces of art and now I just love it! My small group that did trades has disband so I decided to join the Artistcellar.

Connections by Karen S Musgrave: Reflect, Reduce, Renew
http://connectionsbykaren.blogspot.com/2015/01/reflect-reduce-renew.html
Monday, January 5, 2015. Reflect, Reduce, Renew. There is no greatness where there is not simplicity, goodness, and truth. I have started this year out differently. The plan is to go through my entire home and reflect on the things that I own. To make sure that I am surround by things that give me joy. So I will hold every object that I own and if it does not make my heart go pitter patter out it goes. I cannot tell you how uplifting this felt. January 6, 2015 at 10:11 AM. Connections by Karen S Musgrave: Surround Yourself with Talented People and Grow
http://connectionsbykaren.blogspot.com/2014/10/surround-yourself-with-talented-people.html
Wednesday, October 29, 2014. Surround Yourself with Talented People and Grow. I have always tried to surround myself with people who are smarter, more talented and hold a different point of view. It has helped me grow and push myself to be better. I have also tried to move outside of my comfort zone- I call it putting stretch marks on my comfort zone- especially when I am feeling complacent. I have been very fortunate to have come to know and trade art with Linda Edkins Wyatt. Day of the Dead. The Sister...

Connections by Karen S Musgrave: Gratitude
http://connectionsbykaren.blogspot.com/2015/03/gratitude.html
Sunday, March 15, 2015. You have to believe the buds will blow,. Believe in the grass in the days of snow;. Ah, that the reason a bird can sing. O his darkest day he believes in Spring. My bronchitis and sinus infection has not gone away (more than three weeks) even after a round of antibiotics. I cannot remember the last time I was this ill for this amount of time. To say that I am not a good sick person is putting it mildly. It looks like I am back to the doctor tomorrow. March 16, 2015 at 9:31 AM.

Friday, December 5, 2014. Mixed Media at Heart. I am putting this in the ClaySpace Ceramic Arts Center's. Holiday Open House that is happening this weekend. Not sure I am quite ready to see it go but cash is needed to continue my newest vice- clay. I also donated on of my journals for the raffle. Last year my journal raised the most money. There is stiff competition this year. However, I am happy to support the arts and my community this way. ClaySpace Ceramic Arts Center. Marie Z. Johansen. While everyo...

Tuesday, March 6, 2012. Quilts in the Attic: Mary Moon, Who Were You. Life Lessons by Lynne Perrella. Connections by Karen S Musgrave: Tote Bags
http://connectionsbykaren.blogspot.com/p/tote-bags.html
The dresses came out of creating them so I can't totally agree that these tote bags are not about creating art. I had not planned on sharing more about my tote bags, but all the questions I've received have made me realize this is what a lot of my readers want. I live to serve! I'd also like to thank everyone for their sympathy and suggestions for my handle problem. You are the best! Once the sewing is done and you have squared up your pieces, measure and cut your lining the same size. You certainly don'...

Connections by Karen S Musgrave: Maria Tortolero's Second Quilt
http://connectionsbykaren.blogspot.com/2009/09/maria-tortoleros-second-quilt.html
Sunday, September 13, 2009. Maria Tortolero's Second Quilt. Here's another Juarez quilt. I love that Maria uses so much embroidery in her work. In Mexico, embroidery was something the girls were talk in school. She's good at it too! What I love even more is how much she has embraced quiltmaking. She's always working. Always thinking about the next project. I love her style and cannot wait to see what she does next. Labels: National Museum of Mexican Art Quilt Group. September 13, 2009 at 10:00 AM. Rosa i...
