A Study of the BARBEE Families of Chatham, Orange and Wake Counties in North Carolina. Our rural ancestors, with little blest,. Patient of labour when the end was rest,. Indulged the day that housed their annual grain,. With feasts, and off'rings, and a thankful strain. The letters to the courthouse would come back, no one by that name lived here. Is there any family researcher who has not heard the pharase, "Oh, those records were lost in the fire back in 1800-something or other."? This Thanksgiving tho...

Carry out a random act of kindness, with no expectation of reward, safe in the knowledge that one day someone might do the same for you. I transcribed several of the articles that had genealogy facts and posted them to genweb. You might look in Berks County archives in Pennsylvania at some church records. With today's technology I can now put the images of these two magazines online. Oh, and I have! H Kennon Smith, Jr.

A Study of the BARBEE Families of Chatham, Orange and Wake Counties in North Carolina. A good character is the best tombstone. Those who loved you and were helped by you will remember you when forget-me-nots have withered. Carve your name on hearts, not on marble. Ok, I had heard a wagon loaded with corn, traveling over a rough road or field and I can see where he got that expression. So why was he laughing? Grandpa said he didn’t think so, but he might have known Billy the Kid. He wasn’t...Today, so man...

Barbee Research: Colonial Records
http://barbeeresearch.blogspot.com/p/colonial-records.html
A Study of the BARBEE Families of Chatham, Orange and Wake Counties in North Carolina. William Barby, as this entry proves, was not BORN in 1660! He arrived in the Colonies on the 14 Dec 1660. His birth and his parentage to this date are still unknown. As the Index states a "Jone" or as some writers mention a "Jane" Barby arrived in the Colonies. We just don't know whether this BARBY was male of female. I wonder could this have been miss written and be JOHN? Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). H Kennon Smith, Jr.

A Study of the BARBEE Families of Chatham, Orange and Wake Counties in North Carolina. To treat your facts with imagination is one thing, but to imagine your facts is another. People post "stuff" for all kinds of reasons, but does that make it a FACT? Maybe if it has been posted enough, everyone just accepts it as fact. That is not good. When the ladies wrote the Barbee Book they used the facts, that they were given, at that particular period in time. Those facts may not have been correct. Http:/ barbeer...
