Thursday, December 9, 2010. You can use other people to help you motivate yourself. I've been so lucky to learn during the past month with bright learners from all over the world. Learning about the culture of others has been an interesting side benefit of the Moodle course. We have made friends with people who we will probably never meet in person, but who have become important in our lives. Learning collaboratively with people from all over the world is something we need to be doing.

Tuesday, May 6, 2008. Baxter is a terrific pet, sweet and dignified. I got to meet him in person and shoot some pictures, and of course that's best because the computer monitor distorts colors, and printers also distort colors. I had painted the background with sky at first and took it out; I still think that a portrait is best with a plain background that brings out the best in the coloring of your pet. Unless the background is meaningful to you, I'd leave it more or less a plain, rich color.
