barefoot crafting: DIY Planter Chairs - A quick and easy project
http://barefootcrafting.blogspot.com/2016/07/diy-planter-chairs-quick-and-easy.html
Baking * crafting * creating * knitting * sewing. 30 Days of Photographs: Summer 2013. A Year of Pies. These would make great gifts! Tuesday, July 12, 2016. DIY Planter Chairs - A quick and easy project. The idea for chairs repurposed as outdoor planters came across my pinterest feed back in March, and like most things I pin, this idea gathered dust for a while before I decided to commit to it. Enough space in the pots for the plants to be happy enough. Thing 1 and Thing 2; both seats in disrepair! I add...

From 1970's cocktail party to 2010's winery wedding. Update - scroll to the bottom for a picture of the dress in action! Love, love, love this pattern. It feels kind of like a long nightgown. A belt makes it a little better, but still not digging it. The maxi look just isn't for me. Dress on the other hand? Maybe you want to be a tank top? Instead I ...

DIY School Planner | My Craft Adventures
https://mycraftaventures.wordpress.com/2014/08/08/diy-school-planner/comment-page-1
So, there are big changes coming to our house this year. My son will be attending an online virtual public school after being homeschooled since preschool. Yikes doesn’t even begin to cover it. Anyway, we needed a planner so I hit up Pinterest! There were quite a few versions of the composition notebook transformed into a school planner. I mainly used the directions from Large Family Mothering for a Homeschool Planner for Under a Dollar. The first thing I changed was to use Duck tape in place of fabric.

Monthly Archives: December 2013. Wet Felting in Bags. Every year on Christmas Eve we pick a country, cook some food from it (their traditional Christmas food if we can find it) and do a craft from there as we watch a Christmas movie. This year we chose Latvia. Things got downgraded a bit due to illness and weather but we still had a good time with it! And so was the movie. We watched Arthur Christmas and if you haven’t seen this movie yet, you need to. Seriously. Ew But also kind of cool. Here’s wh...

Peep Jousting for fun and education | My Craft Adventures

Peep Jousting for fun and education. The boy and I have been studying heat energy and transfer in our homeschool. One way to demonstrate the concept of how gasses expand when heated is to heat a marshmallow in the microwave. The air in the marshmallow (of which there is a lot! Gets hot and expands and this, along with the softened sugar walls of the marshmallow, allow the marshmallow to grow. What’s even better than a plain marshmallow that gets huge and puffy? And what’s even better than that? Address n...

Pin Cushion and pin holder. 8230;enjoying making hoop art so I haven’t really had anything new to post. After making a bunch I had to organize my supplies and figure out better ways to store things. I had been keeping my felt in a small storage box and my needles in a 1/2 cup gladware container. Neither one was working. The fabric storage issue was easily fixed by spending $6 on this beauty! Just look at all that fabric and felt goodness! Well, I said I was a bit obsessed. I needed a pincushion. Fit unti...

Monthly Archives: April 2014. Roast Chicken and Potatoes. I got this from Joyously Domestic. Doesn’t that look delicious! I certainly thought so. Turns out there were no cut up whole chickens (they always have them except NOW when I NEED one but whatever) so I bought a package of breasts, one of thighs and one of drumsticks…all with bones and skin. Good enough. After an hour at 425 (covered for 20 minutes of that) it looked like this:. Pretty close, no? The kids liked it too. We just used a slotted spoon...
