March 8, 2009. I’ve been slowly getting my blog moved over to host it myself. And I do mean slowly…like J. set it up for me last August or September, I think? Then last week I had some computer problems with my Mac which forced me to do my real work on the old PC desktop that I don’t think I’ve used since we moved to our house. (Yes, almost 3 years ago.) Anyhow, I pulled up my blog to post something and YEOW! They were all noisy, distorted, and just…ick! Not at all like they look on my pretty little Mac.

Tuesday, January 25, 2011. What's in a name? Today on facebook, one of my friends. Posted a pic of a mug with a description of her all based on her name. Now I haven't met this person in real life, but in having read her blog for many years and reading her fb posts, I have gotten to know a bit about her and felt that the description was pretty good. She revealed that it was from urbandictionary.com. I mean, except for the "athletic" and "blonde" parts, it's all me, right? I'm blushing at this point!

Tuesday, July 22, 2014. I'm not gonna lie, one of my favorite things about having a girl is the clothes. Today when I dressed Amelia, I pulled out her old bobux. And nearly died when I saw the entire outfit. Bobux is a New Zealand company that makes adorable soft-soled shoes for babies/toddlers. Wednesday, April 23, 2014. Finding legitimately good bbq in la. Last weekend Jeff and I made a plan to head down to Olvera Street and then grab lunch at the Horse Thief. Randomly mentioned that it served up good bbq. I was 100% skeptical, because being from the South I'm almost always disappointed in LA's options. But, we went and it was fantastic. Their bbq was delicious, but I'm completely obsessed with their greens - the perfect combination of sour and bitter! It's a part of Grand Central Market.

Tuesday, March 27, 2012. Crafty Tuesday: Baby Lucas. I actually didn't mind - since I am the one with the embroidery machine, I was quite happy to do a few personalized things. I made a few burp cloths, and then decided that most of the things that I had purchased might be better with Lucas's name stitched on them. Thursday, September 22, 2011. This Too Shall Pass. As I look around my house at the piles of things to be cleaned and organized and put away, I try to remind myself that this too, yes - even all this mess,. Will pass. Someday - probably a day that is here before I can believe it - I will look around and this life. This one that feels rushed and cluttered and overwhelming, will be nothing but a distant memory.
