This requires 2 long pieces of willow and a bit of concentration to make sure they are woven correctly. Luckily Gill was on hand to assist with the weaving and teach us how to do it....

Quite simply, a shelter for hibernating animals, such as frogs, snakes and lizards. These structures can be above ground and are contructed of piles of rubble, logs and other materials. When cutting the meadow near the bat-house last week, we were pleased to see the Lizards out in full force! Cutting the meadow improves the floral diversity and improves the Lizards habitat. It's easy to see why the lizards like to live in this area as it's heaving with anthills and small insects, their favourite foods.
