Script Alchemy: The Popish Midwife (why I wrote her story)
http://www.scriptalchemy.com/2015/08/the-popish-midwife-deep-edit-finished.html
Sunday, 2 August 2015. The Popish Midwife (why I wrote her story). It's a very special day for me today. Today I reached a milestone. I finished first major edit of The Popish Midwife. I know I still have a long way to go, but I've come a long way too. I don't know if I've ever said why I wrote this book, but it was important to me that her story was told, and that I wrote it. This is why. What if I were to spill something on it, or I didn't care for it well enough and it disintergrated? Years later, two...

Sunday, 10 May 2015. The Rainbow Coffee House. This is not from my novel in progress, The Popish Midwife, but is a short, fun piece based on it. What do you think? The Rainbow Coffee House. 8216;Fie, madam! Have you no shame! Though his words and bow addressed me, his readiness for action was for my young table companion; one recently residing at Newgate – at his Majesty’s insistence – that had this day rejoiced his liberty in every tavern of the city! His ruddy lips, near hid by the red of his trimmed b...

Script Alchemy: Shakspeare (sic)
http://www.scriptalchemy.com/2015/04/shakspeare-cic.html
Thursday, 2 April 2015. Happy, happy, happy! My exciting find today - 'Shakspeare'. I came across it in an antique shop in Battle, Sussex, amongst a mix of books old and new.an absolute bargain. It's about three inches thick, and seems to contain all of Shakespeare's plays (called The Works of Shakspeare. Sic) , as well as some of his poetry, it has a foreword by Samuel Johnson, and was printed 1836. Apart from all of that, it has some excellent plates in it, one for each play. I'm a history geek, ok?
