I had an awkward somewhat embarrassing moment last night when my wife opened the closed bedroom door and walked in on me while I was alone in the dark watching the Republican Convention. She blurted out "oh my God I can't believe it" and ran out of the room shaking her head. The fact is that watching the Republican convention is a lot like pornography -pure manufactured fantasy with not much connection to the real world.
