This blog catalogs some things I've made. Mostly knitting. What's been taking up all my free time? I'm currently making a shrug with bell sleeves, out of this crazy recycled yarn made from left-over sari fibers (mostly silk). I got it on ebay, and the same type of yarn in my nearby fave knitting shop. Is of much better quality. Well, i suppose you get what you pay for. This blog catalogs some things I've made. Mostly knitting. Ok, I'm totally infatuated with Wendy's new Ranch Tooth. It's adorable! And has a very silly voice. All it says is "Ranch". It started out mild, but cloudy on Saturday, but as soon as I was ready to go out, it started raining. SO, no biking this weekend. grrrrr. We did get to check out the new Hyde Park Art Center. This blog catalogs some things I've made. Mostly knitting. OMG: the COOLEST knitting needles ever! So, looking at my Make Magazine Blog. Dashboard widget (Mac OS 10.4) Thursday afternoon, I notice a title that pique's my interest: " LED knitting needles and crochet hooks. I click on it and WOW! This blog catalogs some things I've made. Mostly knitting. Quickie project: using up old yarn! We participated in Bike The Drive. Today, riding downtown, then up Lake Shore Drive to Bryn Mawr, then back south to Jackson, and then on to a breakfast place near our apt, the Sunrise Cafe (about 23 mi? We got up before 5am to do this, so by the time we got home, showered, and ran errands, it was 12:30pm and I was beat! Have a great Memorial Day tomorrow. We'll be at a noon barbeque. This blog catalogs some things I've made. Mostly knitting. Hiatus. over, I hope! Anyway, I hope to get back on a normal schedule soon. Classes started this week, which is good. I hope to still attend Wednesday night knitting at Nina's at least semi-regularly, and I've been invited to a new knitting group on Tuesday nights. Fun! So, I will be posting more progress on my sweater soon. In other news, I really like alpaca fibers. And speaking of alpacas, I just saw this interesting analysis of alpacas.

Ok, got rid of the squished version. here is a reverse-color version. the background is now the same color as the lines that make up the pattern, so now the negative spaces show up. this is a little bright, but i like the way it plays with the eye.
