Mdash; while reviewing the Windows 7 Operating System — I outlined some of the reasons I felt disappointed with the state of operating systems in general in the year 2009. One thing I ran into since this blog entry is an article on Slashdot. This is the sort of innovation we should be seeing in modern operating systems, and it is the kind of change I put my weight behind.

I installed Win7 on a machine previously running Win2000; kept old HD just in case. Used it. Liked it. Stable, did not appear a bit slower than Win2k on my 2.7Ghz single core with 1GB ram.
