Not all who wander are lost: March 2014
http://magilla78.blogspot.com/2014_03_01_archive.html
Not all who wander are lost. Thursday, March 27, 2014. With excitement and joy in my heart, I am writing to tell you about an amazing opportunity coming up in my life. In July of this year, I will be traveling with a team of friends and leaders from St. Patrick’s Church in Lexington, KY to Kibungo, Rwanda. My time in Rwanda will be focused on working with a women’s center and teaching about peer mentoring, discipleship, and practical skills for the women there. Finances: In order to participate in this e...

Not all who wander are lost: July 2011
http://magilla78.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
Not all who wander are lost. Thursday, July 14, 2011. Life has been full of busy and not so busy things. Workwise, it's been a jam-packed summer so far, but a pretty good one. Here's a quick update:. I had a really great birthday at the beginning of June. My co-workers celebrated with me (and adequately embarrassed me, the Amachi mentees and mentors sang to me, and I had an awesome birthday dinner with close friends. And my mom sent me seasons 5-7 of the Gilmore Girls. Not bad. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Not all who wander are lost: All Grown Up
http://magilla78.blogspot.com/2013/12/all-grown-up.html
Not all who wander are lost. Monday, December 16, 2013. When I was in seminary, I took a class called "Discipleship Development in Young and Middle Adulthood." Basically, we discussed how and when people develop from the ages of 20-ish on up. It was one of my favorite classes, and I loved thinking about how development happens. Yes. I recognize how nerdy that statement sounds. When this is the case, what happens when you are all of a sudden 35 and not married? Are you any less of an adult? Having this re...

Not all who wander are lost: October 2011
http://magilla78.blogspot.com/2011_10_01_archive.html
Not all who wander are lost. Sunday, October 30, 2011. I've struggled with my weight and been on some spectrum of the heavy side my whole life. There were a few points in college when, without really trying, I did shed some pounds, basically through being really busy. However, I still ate junk all the time, so when I became less active, the pounds came back on. I started walking my sweet dog, but only for short distances, without losing any weight. More importantly, here are things I've learned so far.

Fix it! | See Kate Date
https://seekatedate.wordpress.com/2009/03/07/fix-it
The Adventures of a Single Girl in the ATL. The Lady in Writing. I’ve realized I have an insatiable need to fix things. Not just things but situations, people, ideas, life. When a problem presents itself, I want to be able to strategize, come up with a grand solution, and carry it out until I’ve kicked the problem in the face. I’m only violent in writing, I promise. Lately, I’ve been realizing that my powers of fixing have been a bit muted. I’m still good at handywork. I can figure ou...I want desperatel...

The Adventures of a Single Girl in the ATL. The Lady in Writing. On a Friday, a friend showed up at my old house, armed with coffee, donuts, a hand-written playlist, and the sheer brain/willpower to pack all of my belongings into my Toyota Corolla. We shared the coffee and donuts, some well-chosen music, a hug and a “see you soon.”. In Atlanta, I have a brother and sister-in-law who love me, complete with two muchkins to make me smile and laugh. I have a roof over my head and food to eat. I have ...Peopl...

The Adventures of a Single Girl in the ATL. The Lady in Writing. The Lady in Writing. At this point, I figured I should tell you all a bit about myself. I recently moved to Atlanta from Los Angeles, my first city love. A little less traffic, a little more peaches. Also, by living here, I get to hang out with these munchkins – my niece Selah, and nephew Caleb. While the year of dating has come to a close, the journey continues. Thanks for coming along! See you out there! Hi, is there a way to email you?
