A: Nangunia St Barooga PH : 03 5873 4486. Early in 1992 Geoff Brentnall put forward a detailed proposal to establish Botanical Gardens in Barooga on the old cricket ground site. This consisted of six acres of Crown land under the control of the Shire of Berrigan which was being used as a drainage basin for storm water. The night is always well attended with locals and families from afar coming to enjoy a night of carol singing and entertainment prior to Christmas. With Santa attending the children’s’ spirits are always high in anticipation. The gardens have proved to be a popular venue to hold wedding ceremonies and celebrations.
