KEEP UNITED IN D.C.: MacFarlane Aswers Fisher...
http://keepunitedindc.blogspot.com/2008/03/victor-macfarlandclass.html
Thursday, March 6, 2008. Victor MacFarlane and Marc Fisher. Marc, my policy is not to participate in this manner, but so I guess this will have to be an exception. I enjoyed your posting and I don't view you as a hater of soccer. I thought the posting was fair and balanced reporting. Do I believe a D.C. United stadium in Anacostia would make a difference to the development of the overall program and its progress to completion? This portion of my professional career is dedicated to making a difference in ...

KEEP UNITED IN D.C.: September 2008
http://keepunitedindc.blogspot.com/2008_09_01_archive.html
Tuesday, September 23, 2008. Sure everyone has they're own reasons for why they'd be less inclined to drive just that bit more around the beltway, but why does it seem to be such a universal value among it's fans that United should remain playing in the district? Why are fans so stubborn on this issue? Maybe it's the same reason Kevin Payne is. Let's hope this new study from PG county forces the councils hand and United can get to work on it's real stadium at Poplar Point. All in all though we should...

Fenty previously criticized the use of public money for...

Thursday, March 31, 2011. The American Soccer Pyramid. With the dramatic debut this week of shiny new logos for both the new NASL and also the reborn Fort Lauderdale Strikers, and the recent re-structuring of the 1st and 2d divisions of the USL into the new 'USL PRO' division, a distinctly new picture of professional soccer in the United States is emerging for the 2011 season. Lets take a look at it. MAJOR LEAGUE SOCCER / 18 TEAMS. Eastern Conference / 9 Teams. Western Conference / 9 Teams. What 2d Divis...

Jedi Soccer: US Surprises Germany 4-3
http://jedisoccer.blogspot.com/2013/06/us-surprises-germany-4-3.html
Monday, June 3, 2013. US Surprises Germany 4-3. They were strange and unusual scenes: the United States men’s national team picking apart the three-time world champions Germany in a 4 - 3 romp. This startling result came on the back of the USA’s embarrassing 4-2 defeat to Belgium on Wednesday, in which they had been resoundingly outplayed. 8220;I think we saw a lot, a lot of good things on the field,” said head coach Jurgen Klinsmann. So abundant was the merriment that it was easy to forget that this was...

Soccer Fan USA: DC United vs. NE Revs
http://soccerfanusa.blogspot.com/2009/05/dc-united-vs-ne-revs.html
A soccer fan who got sick of sending out mass e-mails regarding soccer stories and opinions. Thus has decided to start a blog. Sunday, May 31, 2009. DC United vs. NE Revs. I was shocked at how good the United looked in the first half and how bad the refs were in the second half. In the end the United could only blame themselves for not winning, but could blame the ref for not getting a draw. You be the judge - was this a penalty? Let me know what you think!
