Humble Quilts: Quilts and Friendships
http://humblequilts.blogspot.com/2015/05/quilts-and-friendships.html
Wednesday, May 20, 2015. If you all have been quilting long you will soon realize quilting isn't only about quilts. It's about the friendships. That hit me afresh while I was doing my trunk show, "Quilting through the Seasons". So many of the quilts I showed had a connection with my long time friend (and machine quilter- that came later) I thought I'd do a post about our friendship. Kathy and her husband picked me up at the airport and that was the start of a long and quilty friendship. Of course, you al...

Glady's Gab on Quilts and Quotes: Streetsboro Quilt Show
http://gladysgab.blogspot.com/2013/10/streetsboro-quilt-show.html
Glady's Gab on Quilts and Quotes. Monday, October 7, 2013. What a fun weekend! This is my first year, or should I say month, as a member of the Streetsboro Quilt Guild. Being in a guild is new to me, so I am learning as I go. First of all, I learned that it is called a "guild" instead of a club because the members are all craftsmen, or craftswomen. We are all quilters. Quilt Show Pictures: Enjoy! It is impossible to show all of the quilts; there were close to 200. Here are some that caught my eye. I like...

The tutor was the very clever Bev McClune . Bev's Cathedral Window's Quilt. Yes, this looks complicated . but, is so cleverly put together . and beautifully romantic . I can see this beautiful quilt on a bed . sorry the photo is only a portion of the quilt as it was drapped over the bar and I cropped the photo . :-) . Now to sew a few more squares .

Jenifer Rose Quilts: Estee starts her new quilt
http://jenifer-rosequilts.blogspot.com/2013/06/estee-starts-her-new-quilt.html
Friday, June 7, 2013. Estee starts her new quilt. For three years now I have been teaching my niece how to quilt. She made her first quilt when she was seven. The quilt is a tumbling blocks layout and she chose and laid out the fabrics herself. She also traced and cut out the pieces herself and sewed the initial pairs together. She is doing some of the rotary cutting this year with a Klutz glove and doing all of the sewing and ironing. She loooooves to sew! We'll be back with more later! What else is new!

QuiltAwhile: Redwork Christmas finished!
http://quiltawhile.blogspot.com/2016/12/redwork-christmas-finished.html
Welcome to my quilting blog. Thanks for stopping in! Sunday, December 11, 2016. So excited to finally have this quilt finished! Five years in the making - it actually qualified as a UFO for most of that time. It's hard to believe that it was five years ago that I went to the Quilting Expo and came home with my new Elna embroidery machine. As the holiday season was coming up quickly, I tried downloading a few free embroidery patterns to try out. Don't you just love reds and whites at Christmas? One major ...
