August: Ruidoso Camping and The Return to Nogal. This time I am keeping it brief. Our month of August told through photos. My best friend since childhood, Kaitlyn, stopped by for a visit on her road trip out to Utah! I was SO happy to see her, as it had been almost two years since the last time (she went on a Mormon mission). Visiting our favorite Chinese restaurant in town before they close. Hunan. We invested in a new camera, so I have been making my wonderful husband model for me. Can't beat the view.

White Sands National Monument. Last Saturday, Spencer and I stayed in bed until around 8 am, checked the weather in Alamogordo and saw that the weather forecast for the day had cleared up. Spencer turned twenty-two this year on the eighth of April. He worked that day, but I woke at 4am to make him a breakfast of cinnamon rolls and eggs before he left and to stick a card in his lunch box. Memorial Day was the final day of our Zion road trip. We made the most of our drive back to Roswell, stopping at multiple locations. Although Spence is the main driver in our fam, I relieved him by driving part of the distance, letting him nap. First was a visit to Coral Pink Sand Dunes. Where we snapped lots of photos. Day 6: Niagara Falls. The sixth day of our east coast road trip. We continued to Letchworth State Park. In New York. Voted #1 State Park (followed closely by Watkins Glen. This year Rachel completed fifth grade. One of the opportunities for fifth grade students is to participate in band. Pomo School's band includes trumpets, saxophones, flutes, clarinets, and drums. The school district is lucky to have quite an inventory of instruments. We didn't have a video camera so we recorded this at a later date.
