Yesterday I tweeted after spending a double lesson with 10A working on problem solving; its generated quite a bit of interest and I’ve been thinking about problem solving in the context of the new curriculum quite a lot recently. Teaching ideas with a skew towards Maths…. Are you in the learning zone? October 5, 2014. A tweet from @mathequalslove. During the week caught my eye; in it she shared this poster:. I liked the premise so the next day I floated the concept with my Y10 top set via a hastily drawn copy on the board. They really embraced the concept whilst tackling some tricky NRich problems. 8220;OK, Miss I definitely need a hint I’m in the panic zone.”. And my favourite at the end of the lesson. Teaching ideas with a skew towards Maths…. May 7, 2015. My top set Year 10 told me about this app in passing, I was curious so I hastily downloaded it. This blog post is titled review but I am completely on the fence as to whether this is technology at its best or an absolute pain in every Maths teacher’s backside.
