What happens when a full-time scientist and mother of two tries to find time to knit. Goodness…I forgot something. October 8, 2008. I forgot that I found a previously “lost item” the other night while looking through my cotton yarn stash. It is not really anything to get excited about, but I didn’t want it to go un-blogged. This was the Monthly Dishcloth. For June 2008. Somehow it got lost in the shuffle before I could get it photographed and posted. So without further ado:. Learning a new craft. Well, I...

I do love my mom and she is the one person I have never made anything for so I corrected that with this Mother’s Day/birthday “happy”. I found this great Mother’s Day cloth. So there you have it. What happens when a full-time scientist and mother of two tries to find time to knit. A scarf for Bob and other things. January 29, 2008. I mentioned earlier that over the Christmas break, I made a simple scarf for my son. (His name really isn’t Bob.) Here are the pictures albeit they do look pretty crappy. In other news, I have finally received my invitation from Ravelry. January 28, 2008. Well, I was bad this weekend and didn’t knit a stitch. That means I am behind on my goals for the list. I absolutel...

June Update | Insanity Knits
https://knittingmom.wordpress.com/2010/06/30/june-update
What happens when a full-time scientist and mother of two tries to find time to knit. I set some pretty lofty goals for myself for the month of June. I knew my crafting time was going to be limited (even though not as much as during the school year) but I trudged on, making a list that I knew was going to challenge me. I was not able to get the entire list completed but I do have some finished items to show off today. I am now hooked! Last night my husband informed me that he would like a set in Ole Miss.

https://knittingmom.wordpress.com/2008-book-list
What happens when a full-time scientist and mother of two tries to find time to knit. This year my goal is to read more than I did in 2007. I am going to try and do a better job of actually listing the titles. Also, I hope to be able to add a brief review of the books that I find especially enjoyable. 1 The Blind Side- Michael Lewis. 2 The Secret Hour- Luanne Rice. 3 Backseat Quarterback- Perian Conerly. 4 Dakota Home- Debbie Macomber. 5 On the Street Where You Live- Mary Higgins Clark. 6 Lovers and Liars.

2008 Goals | Insanity Knits
https://knittingmom.wordpress.com/2008-goals
What happens when a full-time scientist and mother of two tries to find time to knit. I have decided that this year, I am only going to knit things that I really want to make. I am not going to stress myself by planning and plotting a million items that I am never really going to finish. If at the end of the year I end up with 200 dishcloths, then so be it. I will have enjoyed myself even if I have nothing sophisticated to show for it. 1 knit 5 dishcloths. 2 scarf for Big Daddy. 3 make kitchen set for mom.
