Senior Eric McCord led all scorers with 19 points (7 rebounds, 5 blocks, 4 assists), but it was his teammates who put the pressure on Holy Name. The team combined for 18 assists and 9 steals. The Grey Ghosts waited nearly an hour and a half for Boston-Latin to arrive (bus troubles), but that did not deter the efforts of the players. Eleven players scored (four in double figures) to aid a strong defensive effort, which led to the 77-38 win. Junior Nick Fiorillo with 8 assists. Senior Jimmy Ward with 12 points, 6 rebounds. Sophomore Connor Degenhardt 6 rebounds. Junior Bobby Hartmann 5 points, 2 rebounds.

The Home of the Grey Ghosts. Thursday, February 26, 2015. WA over Shrewsbury 51-44. Westford Academy wins its tourney opener against a very tough Shrewsbury team 55-44. Shrewsbury led at the half 24-23, but the Grey Ghosts took the lead early in the third quarter and did not relinquish it. After three quarters WA led 40-34. Westford Academy overcame a five point deficit to start the fourth quarter with excellent defense and timely scoring. Junior Bobby Hartmann (4 points, 2 rebounds). Junior Scotty Callahan (6 points 5 rebounds). Junior Nick Fiorillo (tremendous defense to go along with his 4 assists). Westford Academy is now 18-2 overall, 8-2 DCL Large. Newton-South is now 11-8 overall, 6-4 DCL Large. JV play at 3pm / Varsity at 4:30pm.
