Square Market is a community market offering local produce, fresh baked goods and various canned items. The market is open on Wednesdays from 10:00 am to 2:00 p.m from the first Wednesday in June through the last Wednesday in October. A section of the market is dedicated to arts and crafts. Downtown Batesville is a mix of retail and professional offices. The county courthouse, city hall, the city code office, police department, and fire station are all located downtown. In addition, Batesville Elementary School and Batesville Intermediate adjoin the square. Needless to say, a lot of traffic runs through our downtown!
