Bat in the Attic: Some interesting RPGNow numbers.
http://batintheattic.blogspot.com/2014/02/some-interesting-rpgnow-numbers.html
Bat in the Attic. A blog on 30 years of gaming and Sandbox Fantasy. Stuff in the Attic. Thursday, February 6, 2014. Some interesting RPGNow numbers. Rarely a day goes by where somebody doesn't download a copy of Blackmarsh. My sales report show the order number. I then realized that while it can't give an accurate number of sales on the various One Bookshelf sites it may be useful to see what happens year to year. Wow, 1.2 million order numbers in 2013! Anyway it food for thought. Posted by Rob Conley.
Bat in the Attic: For you Greyhawk Fans out there

Bat in the Attic. A blog on 30 years of gaming and Sandbox Fantasy. Stuff in the Attic. Monday, September 7, 2009. For you Greyhawk Fans out there. A while ago I posted about Religions Not Deities. Much of my thinking on this topic originated when I wrote up a document treating the Gods of Greyhawk as religions. I took the list in the Gazetteer, analyzed the cultural groups and tried to put them in a coherent form. Here is the first section about Istar and the other Baklunish Gods. Xan Yae is an older mi...

Bat in the Attic. A blog on 30 years of gaming and Sandbox Fantasy. Stuff in the Attic. Thursday, March 12, 2009. I originally posted this on the Necromancer Games Judges Guild forum in 2007. This info is taken from Triumphant Grand Tactical and Demographics found in Wilderlands of High Fantasy (old) and the Ready Ref Sheets. 1 able bodied men = 4 to 5 people or 1 household. 1 sq mile will feed 320 able bodied men. 1 sq mile needs 30 able bodied men to utilize at 100%. 1 5 mile hex has 13,856 acres.

Bat in the Attic. A blog on 30 years of gaming and Sandbox Fantasy. Stuff in the Attic. Tuesday, May 19, 2015. Delving into AD&D: Everything you want to know about First Edition Combat. Gary Gygax wrote some great prose in first edition ADnD. But there were sections where things were not so clear. One of them was how initiative is supposed to work in combat. Luckily a couple of years back a guy named David Prata wrote A.D.D.C.I.T. Posted by Rob Conley. May 19, 2015 at 1:30 PM. May 19, 2015 at 4:43 PM.

Add OSR Search to Your Site. The OSR ("Old School Renaissance") is a label usually applied to an informal, disorganized group of table-top RPG players that are interested in the hobby as it was played in the 70s and 80s. In the words of Rob Conley. To me the Old School Renaissance is not about playing a particular set of rules in a particular way, the dungeon crawl. It is about going back to the roots of our hobby and seeing. Cyclopeatron: RPG Blog List. Eternal Keep: Roll Call. Robertson Games: OSR list.

Welcome to MartinRalya.com, home of Yore. Category Archives: Reading Appendix N. July 17, 2013. Reading Appendix N: The Chronicles of Amber, by Roger Zelazny. My high school girlfriend introduced me to the Amber series back in the early 1990s, and shortly thereafter to Amber Diceless Role-Playing, the RPG based on the books. Zelazny, like a lot of Appendix N authors, writes with economy and punch. Nine Princes in Amber grabbed me with its opening sentence, “It was starting to […]. Nine Princes in Amber.

Elliott's Ale House - An Old School Gaming Blog. Sunday, November 13, 2016. To Nulb and the Temple of Elemental Evil. I apologize for the lengthy delay since my last post, I took an unexpected month-long hiatus earlier this Fall from running any of my Roll20 games. Then it took a few game sessions to accumulate enough new material to post about. Anyway, on with the story:. The party Halfling ingratiates himself with the Nulb locals, buying drinks and dancing and singing on the table top. It didn't take l...

Bat in the Attic
Bat in the Attic. A blog on 40 years of gaming and Sandbox Fantasy. Stuff in the Attic. Wednesday, March 14, 2018. Nearly eight years ago, I wrote a post about Minimal Dungeon. Born of an observation that various example we have of keyed dungeons from back in the day were very terse with little notes. As you can see from Judges Guild Tegal Manor and the well known photo of Gary Gygax with his Greyhawk binder attached to this post. Now both Peter V. Dell'Orto. The problem with the tournament format that i...
