Welcome to the Armpit of America. Saturday, July 14, 2007. The Great Basin is Weird. It's a mixture of Mars, Alaska and a bad episode of Dr. Who. You know the scene; a giant plastic beetle falls out of the closet onto one of the actors while making a primitive computer noise, presumably eating the poor blokes' eyelids off. So tomorrow morning is the big day! The race starts at 6am and is going to be a doooozy. Sean is taking it easy today and is very excited. Welcome to the Armpit of America. Friday, August 8, 2008. Adventures of the Butterfly Bush. This is the first Monarch that we have seen this year in our back yard on our Butterfly Bush. I remember that year back in the 80's when we had that Monarch migration through Utah. It was an incredible thing to witness, thousands and thousands of Monarchs filling the air.
