Star repeater is located at the south bay site and provides excellent mobile coverage from San Francisco, Oakland and Berkeley in the north to San Jose and Morgan Hill in the south bay. We have upgraded our system from a homebrew D-. Star system, that worked great for over 4 years to an Icom D-. STAR repeater and controller. To configure your D-. Star radio set the following call sign settings. UR = Destination call sign, typically CQCQCQ. RPT1 = WW6BAY B. RPT2 = WW6BAY G. MY = Your call sign.

Field Day 2013

This year we did field day at Henry Coe State Park. We worked HF, 6m, and 2m SSB, CW and PSK. We also saw the International Space Station pass directly overhead on both Friday and Saturday night. We tuned in to the data transmissions from the ISS on 145.825 MHz. We had about 30 attend this year’s Field Day with about 10 people over-. This year we did field day at Almaden Quicksilver Park in south San Jose. We worked HF, 6m, and 2m SSB, 432 SSB, CW and PSK. We had a huge turnout with a lot of new hams and new Bay-.
