Strings: Tapestry
http://holly-g.blogspot.com/2011/05/weekend-before-last-i-went-to-my-first.html
Weaving and Fiber Arts. Sunday, May 22, 2011. Weekend before last I went to my first Conference of Northern California Handweavers. I took the tapestry class offered by Pam Patrie. To the left are the looms that greeted us all warped and ready to go! The plans she provided for creating your own copper pipe loom can be found by clicking here. I was definitely the neophyte of the group! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). There was an error in this gadget. Awesome Inc. template. Powered by Blogger.

Weaving and Fiber Arts. Sunday, March 13, 2011. Free Twill Sampler Card Booklet. This link will give you the handout for the first floor loom class offered at Custom Handweavers in Mountain View. (Classroom at left.). Four Shaft Twill Sampler. Print this link out on business card paper, and punch holes in the top left hand corner of each card. Put a ring through the holes, and you have made a handy little booklet that is easy to refer to while weaving! I hope you find them handy too!
Strings: Remembering Mary Bowers
http://holly-g.blogspot.com/2011/04/remembering-mary-bowers.html
Weaving and Fiber Arts. Sunday, April 10, 2011. I never met Mary Bowers when she was alive. She was the previous owner of my loom and equipment. Her name is on everything. Her loom made its way to a second hand store. Sold with it was all her supplies and yarn. I like the blue as I have told you many times, the designs for it have always ben the best! May 22, 2011 at 8:15 PM. That girl loves the blue! Heres a link to what she has been drooling over: Ems Blue Drool. May 23, 2011 at 9:30 AM.
Strings: Doh!
http://holly-g.blogspot.com/2011/03/doh.html
Weaving and Fiber Arts. Sunday, March 20, 2011. Time to ply the last of the wool I had been spinning. I seriously thought I had enough green and blue for those two colors to be the only ones on this little box. I enjoyed spinning the yarn on a drop spindle. It was a color sample pack I picked up somewhere. I would take my drop spindle all over with me and attract attention. People would ask questions, and I'd show them my spinning. They would ask what I was going to make. "Yarn"!
Strings: Huckleberry Box Weaving
http://holly-g.blogspot.com/2011/02/huckleberry-box-weaving.html
Weaving and Fiber Arts. Saturday, February 19, 2011. My daughter and I are taking a beginning weaving class together. It's her turn to use the warping board, so I have to wait to load up my loom. I need string though! So, I took a little cardboard box, and started wrapping string around it. I'll be using my brightly colored spindle spun wool to do a very simple tapestry weave that will pull off the box to be a little bag. My daughter was watching me intently and asked if she could have a turn with the box.
Strings: Transferring Blog

Weaving and Fiber Arts. Sunday, June 12, 2011. I've been fooling around with an idea. Check out my new website. I'm still waiting on the Secretary of State to become an LLC, but in the meantime there's still plenty to set up! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). There was an error in this gadget. Strings: Free Loom - TAKEN
http://holly-g.blogspot.com/2011/03/free-loom.html
Weaving and Fiber Arts. Sunday, March 27, 2011. Free Loom - TAKEN. Update: This loom was claimed on 4/9/11. Thank you! If you are willing to come pick it up in the south bay area, I'd like to give this floor loom a new home. It's a four harness jack loom with a built in rattle in the back. The brand name tag appears to have fallen off. I already had my big Gilmore loom when a family friend offered Emily a little loom of her own. That little loom turned out to be a floor loom! March 31, 2011 at 11:44 AM.
