Bay Area Gardening has become SUB TROPICAL GARDENING. A home gardening enthusiast who moved from California's Silicon Valley to Phoenix where it's warmer and sunnier, but drier. Friday, March 09, 2012. Have to shift to a potted garden. So far, I have a potted cattlaya and a Meyer lemon. I also have a small pot of herbs - nothing exciting. I hope to eventually replace the oleander hedges with dwarf pomegranates, but that's probably a year away. The cool growing season here ends in 2-3 months.
