Everyday of this whole year seems so vivd to me. From the moment I saw her, to her crawling around on the floor today chatting to herself. Anyhow I could go on forever, as any parent could about their journey and baby but I just wanted to mark Poppy's 1 year birthday with a post on how we made it to 1 year! Sunday, May 24, 2015. We celebrated Poppy's first birthday on Saturday. Her actual birthday isn't until Tuesday but you know how these things go. We both decided that a carrot cake would be the first cake she eats because if she has to eat cake it may as well have something healthy in it even if all the other stuff is still bad for you. I took a chance on a recipe from a lady named Linda Lomelino's blog called " Call Me Cupcake. I follow her beautiful blog and instagram feed as her sweets look amazing!

They're made by the lovely Peace Love and Sandy Feet. They are so darn cute! Took Poppy to the beach with some friends and had a picnic and soaked in some of this glorious winter sun. Wednesday, April 22, 2015. I gotta say travelling with a baby under one years old is way under rated. Dan is loving life. I can't help but think that later on in life when I look back I'll think about this time as the time of our lives. I'm trying to savor every moment. So far this is where we've stopped on our way and through the Great Ocean Road. Sugarloaf – where we stayed on our first night. Highly recommend stopping at these spots. And from what I've seen of the township so far I like it! June ( 1 ).
