Update - BBQ and the Works

http://bbqandtheworks.net/2009/12/27/update

My blog for my adventures with BBQ and Fireworks. December 27th, 2009 Posted by ripsup. Well, a new year is coming and I’ve been slacking. Had a post I wrote last year in January still sitting as a draft and will probably put it up this January. So what’s getting me back into writing about this? As well I plan to talk about some local breweries that are springing up all over Northwest Indiana. Brews are definitely something that go hand in hand with BBQ. Well here is to a more productive next year. :).

My blog for my adventures with BBQ and Fireworks. Maverick thermistors in hand. October 27th, 2011 Posted by ripsup. Just got my probes in the mail and hopefully will have a chance this weekend to finish the build. Just need to stop by the local electronics store for a couple resistors and a relay and I should be all set. So this forever project is finally going to get somewhere. Finally upgraded comments to Disqus - BBQ and the Works

http://bbqandtheworks.net/2011/04/25/finally-upgraded-comments-to-disqus

My blog for my adventures with BBQ and Fireworks. Finally upgraded comments to Disqus. April 25th, 2011 Posted by ripsup. Just a heads up that I finally changed the comment system over to Disqus. Logged in this morning to see if I had any comments I had missed and had 40 spam on the newest post. Yeah WP caught them but really don’t want to worry as much about false positives and Disqus is pretty good about stopping them. Next I just need to move this over to my single maintained WP-MU setup.

My views on Hannon Hill’s Cascade Server CMS. On January 28th, 2010 by Richard Orelup in Development. Okay, so this question pops up all the time. I’ve responded before on the High Ed Cascade mailing list, but figured I’d put it in a more permanent place I could always reference. What set this off as a question on the uwebd network here. So I got a Nook Tablet so figured why not review it. On November 21st, 2011 by Richard Orelup in Development. I’ve never really felt a need to have a tablet. I’ve had an iPad around from basically the time they came out at work and it was never more than a giant Angry Birds player. I’d see others using theirs and anything they did other then games I already did with my laptop (and better because tablets aren’t really good devices for creating content.). PageStackWindow in MeeGo 1.2 Harmattan for Orientation and Transitions. On August 1st, 2011 by Wade Shull in Development. When Nokia came out with MeeGo 1.2 Harmattan they released some Nokia specific APIs so that all applications that run on their phones could have the same outer look and feel. The way they pulled this off was introduce Page, PageStack, PageStackWindow and PageStackWindowStyle elements. Is Nokia’s documentation about it. I started a new main.qml file and input this.
