I end up spending 2-3 hours planning a 1 hour flight. We dodged rain and lightning storms over Tennessee to make our way to Memphis. 2011 BBQ Tour. Over 4000 miles, 10 states in 9 days. Monday, November 28, 2011. We flew through a heavy rain storm to get to Lockhart TX, the BBQ capitol of TX. This was a small airport and they had the BBQ Patrol car waiting for us when we arrived. We had a number of places to choose, but we settled on Kreuz Market based on what I had read, and we were not disappointed. There was not much time to decide, so fortunately I made an order list the night before. Shoulder Clod :9.5. The flavor was near perfect.

2011 BBQ Tour. Over 4000 miles, 10 states in 9 days. Saturday, November 19, 2011. We left Modesto, CA for Grand Junction Co to spend the night. Enjoyed an awesome tailwind almost the whole way, with just an occasional light chop, making CO in just 2:30. As we descended we expected turbulence, but not to this degree. We experience what is described in the flight manuals as Severe Turbulence. This is defined as loss of control of the plane and the inability to maintain altitude or heading. What can you say?
