Monday, March 31, 2008. Okay, since I have been a slacker and haven't really posted much about our family since before Christmas, I am going to try and have a little catch up here. We have had a lot of fun holidays lately and it has been fun to celebrate them with the girls. They get excited over the simplest little activity that we have really enjoyed the holidays. I am going to share a little of our Valentines day. We had yummy pink. Heart shaped pancakes for breakfast, and we had our little heart.

Bigwave's Blog: October 2011

Sunday, October 16, 2011. Fishing in Kodiak Alaska. This is the oldest church in Alaska, at the mouth of the Karluk River on Kodiak Island, Alaska. Weather was often cool and rainy, but the fishing was good. We fished in small boats on the river, and in the ocean for halibut when the seas were calm. In the afternoon we would fly fish for Dolly Varden. This was the last days catch of 30 salmon. These were two nice silvers I caught. We caught our limits most days. Sunday, November 28, 2010. We had a great time in Phoenix for Thanksgiving. Half of the family made it down. Drew was a great host to share his home and heat the pool. We had ten adults and 12 kids for the dinner. It was a great meal and we had lots of fun and games with the fam. Dinner prep by the girls. Sometimes dinner just takes too long. Brit couldn't quite make it. We had a great time in Drew's pool. He heated it so that the cool days were fine to swim. Playing thanksgiving bingo with grandpa.

Tuesday, May 15, 2012. In Eugene Oregon we did the covered bridge tour in Cottage Grove. There were 7 covered bridges to find. They hold weddings in this one. The previous week we were in Walla Walla, WA. They had the annual Walla Walla balloon stampede. They sent off balloon from all the schools around the city. They left at 7am. They had four at the school we went to by the fairgrounds. It was fun to see the sky filled with the hot air balloons. Makes you want to go for a ride. View my complete profile.

The Davenport Report: Arches National Park
http://golftilyoudie.blogspot.com/2013/11/arches-national-park.html
Wednesday, November 13, 2013. We took a trip to Moab with the Smiths this last weekend. The purpose of our trip was to visit Arches National Monument. The Smiths go every year, but we had never been. So we invited ourselves on their family trip and the they accepted! Tara has lived in Utah her entire life and had never visited Arches. Dave has lived here for 20 years and hadn't visited Arches either. Huge mistakes! View near Double Arch. You can see Balanced Rock in the background. Arch near Corona Arch.
