The Forks In My Yard. A closer encounter with the weird kind…. Stuff Other People Wrote. Back From The Dead. November 9, 2014. After four years, I came back to this site and made the following conclusions: 1. I had to change the blog title. What the hell was I thinking? 2 The slightly older me has to make her presence felt. Violets are Blue: Baby Showers
http://veramarievillanueva.blogspot.com/2012/01/baby-showers.html
Tuesday, January 10, 2012. We've been blessed to have been given two baby showers for Jacob. I honestly wasn't expecting even one shower at all! We are grateful and thankful for our "families" here in Sydney. Thank you, Fontimayor family (May Ann, Karlo and Noah) for letting us into your home. Somebody already ate the 'B' cupcake before I was able to take a picture :(. With my sister and mum from Manila :). Gifts for Jacob - thank you, Titos and Titas :). MaJen, Mama Ida and all the Betanettes who helped...

Thursday, June 30, 2011. Thank you, Lord! Thank you, Lord. For giving me a relatively good day today and yesterday. I'm feeling a little better everyday. Hopefully this continues but it's fine even if it doesn't. [I spoke too soon. Haha. Oh well, it's all for a 'wonderful cause'. :D]. For another milestone today, 10 weeks. Yay us! PS I'm so sorry for being on hiatus these past weeks. I have a lot going on right now. I'll explain later. Hopefully, I can go back to blogging regularly soonest.

Tuesday, July 26, 2011. The Chronicles of a Pregnant Vera - Part 1. So I'm pregnant. Now what? Haha As my pregnancy progresses, I'm learning things about myself, my body and being pregnant in general. Here are some of the things that's been happening to me. After my embryo transfer I refused to pee for a couple of hours (even when I was dying to! For fear that the embryo would 'fall out'! How silly was I? Hopefully my good luck continues. We bought a fetal home doppler off eBay just so my husband and I c...

Sunday, November 21, 2010. The Year That Was 2010. As 2010 is nearing its end, I’d like to look back, reminisce and hopefully put into perspective how this year unfolded for me. 8211; I celebrated another milestone in life, I turned 30! My husband and I normally celebrate my birthday with a holiday but we chose to forego that tradition this year. Instead, we celebrated with a simple dinner at home. Greetings from family and friends made my day more special. I felt loved and blessed. I had hysteroscopy an...

Violets are Blue: The Year That Was 2011
http://veramarievillanueva.blogspot.com/2011/12/year-that-was-2011.html
Monday, December 19, 2011. The Year That Was 2011. Only 5 days left 'til Christmas! This will only be the second time my husband and I will celebrate Christmas here in Sydney. The first was in 2008. We've been spending our holidays in Manila the past two years. This year we couldn't go home because I'm due to give birth in January so we flew my mum and youngest sister here instead. It would've been great if the family could all be here but of course that's not a possibility. As what I did last year.

Violets are Blue: March 2011
http://veramarievillanueva.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
Thursday, March 17, 2011. A Lighthouse, A Blow Hole and Turning 31. I turned 31 last Friday, March 11th. The same day Japan experienced the devastating earthquake and tsunami. I reckon it was a day not to be happy about. :(. We were supposed to go to Canberra last weekend but it was postponed so we decided to go on a short road trip instead. I love road trips! We decided to head somewhere south, where we've never been to - Kiama! I'll let the pictures do the rest of the talking. =). Happy 31st to me!

Violets are Blue: 2012!
http://veramarievillanueva.blogspot.com/2012/01/2012.html
Sunday, January 8, 2012. Happy New Year everyone! I hope you all had a nice holiday. It's Monday and today is my husband's first day back at work so it's back to reality for our household. Hopefully he wins the lottery SOON so he won't need to work! I would've wanted my first entry for 2012 to be Jacob's birth announcement but alas, our little prince is still enjoying inside Mummy's tummy. :). His Daddy wanted Jacob to have the same birthday as his but 5th January has come and gone. More Stuff to Buy.
