M ike and Kimber Emberson. Our cottages overlook the main or East Beach in Port Burwell. You only have to navigate down a small hill and you're right on the sand or water. The village shops are only a mere block or two walk from the cottages. Park the car, you don't need to drive here!

The History of Port Burwell. Port Burwell's past has provided the village with many grand old homes and several churches, the most significant of which is the Trinity Church built with funds provided by Col. Burwell in 1836. It is surrounded by an old cemetery containing the remains of many of the first settlers, including United Empire Loyalists. A self-guided historic tour brochure is available from the museum and lighthouse. The Port Burwell Lighthouse.

We were fortunate to have one of our resort managers on hand to witness the release and photograph the birds' freedom flight out into the Gulf of Mexico.
