This blog describes our way to adopting 2 children from Russia. Easter at the Russian Embassy. Today we went to the Russian Embassy in Washington DC to celebrate Easter with a lot of other Russian adoptive families. This is organized each year between "the Cradle of Hope' adoption agency and the embassy. This blog describes our way to adopting 2 children from Russia. The first weekend home! Later in the morning we went for a shopping spree at walmart since our pantry and fridge were about empty. We also bought some play clothes for the kids and a few things we needed. They did very well i in the store, Ivan sitting in the front seat and Hannah in the cart guarding the purchases. After vanna, it was bedtime and both were out in a wink. A great first day. So that flight was over before we realized it.

This blog describes our way to adopting 2 children from Russia. We also really enjoy the large variety of parks and playgrounds we have in our neighbourhood. With the weather being cool and sunny we usually pick a playground after school and play there for a while before going home. We are also just a few minutes away from Rock Creek Park with its bridges, rocks and, this time of the year, multicolored leaves, and many opportunities for adventures. Below a few pictures of the last 2 months.

He got adopted 2 years ago so Hannah won't be able to speak russian with him but. what are the odds!
