Asymp; 3 Comments. They’ve been able to play with friends and cousins, go to the church nursery, go to museums, go to restaurants, and much more! Our summer story is best told in pictures:. In 2 weeks, David will have another bronchoscopy. His last one was in February. We hope it will be as smooth as the last! We got to take all of David’s medical supplies out of his closet? And am so thankful that David’s supplies got to go to such a wonderful family. I am little David's mom. This site is to help al...

Mother’s Day | thecumbies.com

Asymp; 3 Comments. It was pure joy to take my children to church today. I looked around and saw the smiling faces of those who have prayed so hard for little David and it brought tears to my eyes. It was such a picture of community. Thank you, Lord! As I sat and prayed I remembered how hard and sad the past four Mother’s Days have been. 8221; I was a mother. I was so happy. We had an incredibly difficult next year. Today I can say that I have felt normalcy. I’ve only felt it in tiny rays. B...Madeline Ja...

Firsts | thecumbies.com

Asymp; 2 Comments. Last weekend was full of firsts. David and Mary Camden swam in a pool for the first time in their lives. As every parent of a child with a trach knows all too well, water is. Water near an open airway will cause a mama bear to sweep that child up in a heartbeat. Bath time used to be a necessary evil. Now, the bath tub can be a sanctuary for that 4:30 feeling of desperation that stay-at-home mamas know all too well. If you’ll notice the wind and the wake, you’ll see that Mr&...Crackles=...

The Drive | thecumbies.com

Asymp; 6 Comments. One hour and 20 minutes. It used to feel like a piece of cake. Two year old twins have changed The Drive. Now timing is everything. If I leave when they are just sleepy enough, I can make it to the Goldsboro stoplights without them waking. That hour is blissful silence. At moments I even risk our lives to look back and make sure they are breathing beneath their seatbelts because they are just SO quiet. The Drive is worth it. Larr; Previous post. Next post →.
