As of October 3, 2014. Work on Life in the French Quarter the newest Stephan Wanger Bead Town project with Hotel Monteleone continues, to break our own GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS achievement Summer 2015. Given the large scope of this project, Life in the French Quarter is projected to break the Guinness World Record for the largest bead mosaic, while raising awareness about the sustainable use of resources through display of life in New Orleans. Creating Art Together -. One Bead at a Time. Bead Town is an exciting, interactive art exhibit that is hosted by any city that would like to be part of this unique experience. The exhibit features nearly 100 mosaics, all made out of recycled Mardi Gras Beads and other found objects, highlighting iconic images from Louisiana and other host communities. Lots of shows and activities planned for 2015. The Art and Design of Mardi Gras Mobile, AL. Opening November 8 and 9, 10 am to 5 pm at the Mobile Museum of Art. Organized in partnership with the History Museum of Mobile and the Mobile Carnival Museum until May 3, 2015. Beginning Jan. 2, 2015. 719 Toulouse St., New Orleans. Thursdays 7-9pm workshops for adults (30 adults, limited seating) Enjoy Sicilian Street Foods/Italian Wines while you create and bead a 5x7 frame or mask.

Every year, about 10,000 tons of discarded Mardi Gras beads wind up in landfills. Bead Town teaches the process of how to make art out of discarded materials such as Beads, Bottle Caps, Screws, Nails, and other materials - We even used 46 million year old fossils. We are creating Art together - One Bead at a Time.

Taste of Louisiana consists of 12 artworks, all 4’ (H) x 4’ (W) created in 2011 with the students of Rudolph Matas Elementary School of Metairie, LA, featuring culinary highlights from Louisiana. For six months the artworks will travel with Bead Town - the other six months the artworks are on display at the school to inspire current student population. Louisiana: Pick Your Passion. A beautiful Art Nouvea style green set with butterflies for handles, you might just see it above as I inherited it when she passed away. Then the most successful Car Boot Fair trip of my life (in fact my only successful trip! So at this point I have to call time as my dressing table is full, albeit with beautiful sentimental glass....
