My daughters are really bored with their range of DVDs so if ripping DVDs was legal I might sign up to Amazon's DVD rental for a free 2 week trial and copy some Angelina Ballerinas to my hard disk using the wonderful DVD: RIP. It does require a high level understanding of the process:. Extract the raw MPEG2 from the DVD. It would be usable if you didn't understand the process, which is a shame, but once you get past that - it is very straightforward. Missing my Linux Box.

Wednesday, August 10, 2005. Evolution Mail-remote plugin sharp. Today I commited a fairly stable glue-code for the mail-remote plugin bonobo interface that I mentioned in couple of my previous posts. My first commit actually broke the cvs and I had to tweak the glib-genmarshal stuff a little bit to match the source tree structure that we have in evolution-sharp. I learned quite a few things, though small, but significant. Errors in makefiles are cancer cells that eat your time like anything.

Wednesday, May 31, 2006. Its Long break since I wrote my last blog. Things in life has changed quite a lot. No more regular nightouts. Dinner before 10:00 PM, commuting through BMTC bus to office and change in my regular diet. Everything happened because of the low-battery-warning raised by my body, which is under rejunuvation now with the help of ayurvedic medicines. Atleast, I am getting good sleep these days. :-). Simplemente cosas que quiero compartir. Google Desktop para Linux. Por Steve Mc Gregor. Acabo de instalar en Ubuntu Google Desktop for Linux. La instalación es muy sencilla. Recomiendo que para la instalación usen los repositorios de Google de esa forma cuando haya una actualización se hará automáticamente. Las instrucciones de como agregar los repositorios de Google. En Ubuntu las pueden ver aquí. Pero esta muy atado a Gnome y necesita un Daemon. Hasta ahora muy buen programa y promete mejorar mucho.

Wednesday, October 05, 2005. I downloaded the clip. From Jeyant Joshua Gonringe. S blog, a blog of a 4-5 year old kid. By default windows codecs are not supported by SuSE (and hopefully others as well). I like Xine. A lot, however, I equally like mplayer. During configure itself it yelled at me asking for a gcc version that it supports. With their - disable-gcc-checking. Got me this patch. Which smoothened my mplayer compilation. Voila!
