Round the World Trip. Tuesday, 26 October 2010. In New York at last! So here we are in New York! The journey went well apart from the full body search at Manchester( even x-rayed my shoes) and the new pink bag which refuses to stand up.Flying with BA is deja-vu , pre budget airline days,with goodies like pillows, blankets,eye patches and free drinks and food constantly. Very good really though being woken up at midnight to eat a chicken sandwich and kitkat seemed very strange! Jetlag got the blame again.

With our occupation established, we then walked down the steep track to Akaroa and did the touristy bits looking in the shops and galleries and walking around the bay. Round the World Trip. Monday, 22 November 2010. A nice swim in the pool was a perfect end to a busy day. November: Another day in Sydney. Getting a day ticket for the Monorail was a much better idea. We’ve had a bit of a museums day, doing the Sydney Aquarium in the morning and the superb Powerhouse Museum in the afternoon. The Aquarium was wonderful apart from the inevitable school parties.
