Moldovan Passport…Check ». July 6, 2015. So Albina left to find it and Andriana grew impatient. Quite honestly so did Mama but she was being a bit of a pill. I think it was an hour later that Albina came back with the documents and at this point was actually friends with said security guard. And convince them to delete the old certificate immediately. But we finished the rest of the paperwork and went to get lunch. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. Address never made public).

La piscină ». July 7, 2015. Today…I am exhausted today. I thought Andriana would sleep longer, but no…My stomach is still not right and I am being ravaged by mosquitos. I am allergic to mosquito bites, so I have these giant red welts on my arms and legs – very attractive, besides being extremely irritating. But…the important part is that we got the Moldovan passport. Yeay! We will go to Aurelia’s office to speak.”. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. Address never made public). Psych Analysis and Smiles. Get me out of here. So, I told Ramin that I was the Mama of Ramin but he must apologize to Smiles. (I don’t know his name, but that’s now his name in my head. When Andria first met the toddler next door, Miles, she had thought his name was Smiles and I found it adorable). Fortunately, at that point, the German volunteer came out of the house to supervise. What are you doing? I hope we haven’t done any permanent damage by dangling the “do you want a family? April 6, 2016. The di...

Miss Maria ». July 10, 2015. Andriana wanted to go to the park. He wanted to play on the iPad. Typical. 8221; This is a phonetic spelling for “In a minute” and one of my least favorite phrases from her. Then the boy whining. Finally, she found her socks and put on her shoes and we sprint back to the outdoor restrooms by the entrance of the park. She was mad at me for ordering a glass of wine. I haven’t had one glass since the first night when I was by myself. She scolded me, “Mama! She was very sweet thi...

The Flight Home ». July 11, 2015. We stopped to buy water at the little pop up shop in the park. She convinced the young man who worked there to give her his Skype name so she could call him from America. Omg. Oh, and she says that now too just like Albina, “Oh my god.” She puts in the most hilarious situations, too. No, not just soap or a cream, but a procedure. When I was in high school, I tried those sticky strips that came out looking like I had iron filings stuck in my pores. I am going to clean out...

Derichsweiler Family: November 2014
http://derichsweilerfamily.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Sunday, November 30, 2014. We have nearly finished our leftover turkey. Turkey sandwiches, Pecan/Cranberry/Turkey Salad with Orange Poppyseed Dressing, Turkey Pot Pie, Turkey Noodle Soup. Not bad for a 20 lb bird I bought that originally fed 3 adults and 2 children. Today I drove by my childhood home – the one when life was most chaotic. It’s tiny. On Friday I got my A Tree Grows in Brooklyn inspired tattoo. My new snowman ornament this year:. Chris got Star Wars themed ornaments. Riding in Cars with Bla...

ADOPTING FAITH: A Father's Unconditional Love. EACH Child is Special: Working Smarter Not Harder to Raise Every ONE. March 3, 2016. March 7, 2017. By Donald Craig Peterson. Triangulation The Art of Strangulating Family Relationships. I never forgot the day that a therapist made me vulnerable in front of my children. Your father’s not always right – just like you. When he makes mistakes, he needs to admit it. In less than 10 seconds, a dangerous seed sprang to life. Some adults go one step further. Th...

Derichsweiler Family: Obstacle Runs
http://derichsweilerfamily.blogspot.com/2014/11/obstacle-runs.html
Tuesday, November 4, 2014. Chris and I completed three obstacle runs this year. We did the Rugged Maniac at the end of July at the motocross track next to Bandimere Speedway. This was a really fun event – approximately 3 miles and 25 obstacles which made it basically a giant obstacle course. The obstacles were fun and challenging. We definitely plan to do this one again. I completed the rings without falling in the water! Big accomplishment for this obstacle run. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Charl...

Derichsweiler Family: Accomplishments in 2014
http://derichsweilerfamily.blogspot.com/2014/12/accomplishments-in-2014.html
Monday, December 29, 2014. Every year in lieu of a New Year’s Resolution, we each decide to learn or try something new. I am a highly productive person, but I also think I try to add to many things to my list. Look at what I wanted to do in 2014. Looking back on 2014, I think there are things I ended up learning that I had not intended to learn. And chose to not add piano lessons to our already-full-plate. Dance a solo part for ballet: I danced a solo part for Swan Lake. In June. For the Nutcracker.

Derichsweiler Family: Charlotte’s Adoption Story Part 2: First Month Home
http://derichsweilerfamily.blogspot.com/2013/12/charlottes-adoption-story-part-2-after.html
Tuesday, December 3, 2013. Charlotte’s Adoption Story Part 2: First Month Home. Chris and I lived in California when we first had our children and had no family or close friends nearby. We had some great friends, but not nearly the incredible support network that we have in Colorado. I would describe the California support network only 1 deep and the Colorado support network 5 deep if that helps put it in perspective. Contact with my sister – mid-July 2008. Going Back to Work July 30, 2008. I think IR...

http://derichsweilerfamily.blogspot.com/2015/03/stretch-marks.html

Derichsweiler Family: What’s in store for 2014?
http://derichsweilerfamily.blogspot.com/2013/12/whats-in-store-for-2014.html
Tuesday, December 31, 2013. What’s in store for 2014? Just as in previous years, we are all going to learn something new this year. We had a great year in 2013. Our something new is piano! The other plans I have for myself include: 1) Dance a solo part for ballet recital, 2) Complete Warrior Dash and Tough Mudder (will require lifting and running again, not just ballet! And 2) maintain other hobbies that are important to me:. Photography: Instagram photo a day. Escape/relax: Read 25 books. I have spent a...

Derichsweiler Family: On parenting
http://derichsweilerfamily.blogspot.com/2014/02/on-parenting.html
Wednesday, February 12, 2014. We tried a new experiment: fend for yourself dinner. Charlotte microwaved a hot dog, had yogurt and grapes. Cooper has had yogurt and ate some cold leftover pizza. They were confused why we weren’t all eating together, but they did like making their own dinners. On our way to independence! Charlotte and Cooper have a new chore! Vacuuming. They love it. Smiley thinks it’s a big game and attacks the vacuum. Use a real sled. I want to come do this with your kids! Shortly after ...

Bean Sprout Chronicles
Thursday, April 2, 2009. Did you miss these two kids? Well, we've been pretty.sick! Thought I'd say busy? Grady got pneumonia. It was really bad. He was treated for it and 2 weeks later came down with a high fever again. We went back to the doctor and he STILL had it! He couldn't keep the steroids down, but he actually seemed to enjoy the breathing treatments. Is this not the saddest picture you've ever seen? We went to Crabby's which was absolutely fantastic! He looks SO much better. I may be weird,...

Sugar and Spice – One Month in America. You are driving me crazy! August 14, 2015. It’s been one week since Andriana walked into our home. We’ve had a pretty good week considering she is like a fish out of water here. Her English comprehension has increased substantially in just one week – whether she admits it or not. There are a few more words she says in English as well. Mainly dog commands, but it has to start somewhere. July 21, 2015. I am a little behind on posts – it’s been a crazy week! Albina st...
