This is a personal blog mainly to do with hillwalking things but with other stuff as well.maybe the odd rant. Friday, 29 May 2015. Coast to Coast Folks. It's probably with some relief for you that I announce at the start of this thread that it's my final words on the subject of Lucky and Me's Coast to Coast walk. This is about other people; people I came across on the way. Some, most, good, a few dozy, nobody bad, really. First, a word about other walkers. Other CtoC-ers near Littlebeck. Lucky approaches...

http://northernpies.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html

This is a personal blog mainly to do with hillwalking things but with other stuff as well.maybe the odd rant. Wednesday, 29 April 2015. That Was A Pretty Short Summer (Spring Snow North Pennines). We drove up past the “No Unauthorised Vehicles Beyond This Point” signs to the car park (! Braving the war dogs, special forces, land mines, man traps, armed drones and rude signs (there were none of these by the way), we huddled down behind the corrugated walls where it was almost warm for a short lunchtime.

This was Matt’s idea – and I discussed it with the Pup and he agreed to come along providing he could have a chew stick and a nip out of the cat when he got home. We crossed the wall and found a comfy spot on a heathery lump sheltered from the wind and spent some considerable time lunching and watching the view. The geology s...

The Adventures of a Mountain Boxer. Dixie Chick (Kennel Club name Lomali Born To Be Wild), was born on 5th November, 2001. She follows a long line of distinguished family Boxers. Moving to Vancouver Washington: 08/01/2008 - 09/01/2008

http://movingsuz.blogspot.com/2008_08_01_archive.html

Moving to Vancouver Washington. Saturday, August 16, 2008. Back to the Grind. Finally the tree stumps were ground up. This took about six hours. Those filberts had very wide bases (of multiple shoots). Dust was EVERYWHERE! I had to hose off my brand new painted house - but it cleaned off easily. I didn't get a picture, but we discovered standing water in one of the stump holes. So I had a " french drain. Links to this post. July 25 - 28. My niece, Royce is a camp counselor at " Camp Orkila. Moving to Vancouver Washington: 12/01/2008 - 01/01/2009

http://movingsuz.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html

Moving to Vancouver Washington. Saturday, December 27, 2008. Let there be light. It took a few days to adjust from the drama of being snowed in to being in a temperate, dry and sunny climate where traffic moved freely and being outdoors was no big deal. After several nice family Christmas celebrations my friend Rita and I drove over to San Francisco's Ocean Beach - which used to be my back yard. I can take almost as many pictures of sun-splashed waves as I can of mounting snow! Links to this post. I coul...

A Walking Exploration of the Capital Corridor Rail Line. June 06, 2008. Artists' forum 5.31.08. Last Saturday we had an artists forum for all of the artists working on the rail project.  Artists forum is a fancy way of saying that we all got together and took turns presenting our work, and asking questions about one anothers process, as well as the future of the project.  Some photos:. We also, apparently, were amused by one another. Stevens work can be found at to make. Monica read us poems, but also ta...
