Monday, March 28, 2011. Joanne and I spent the evening in North Conway, NH. We enjoyed a steak dinner and time alone on our 13th anniversary. Jon and Kristi Marshall, elder and his family from Pleasant Mountain Presbyterian Church, watched the kids - everyone had a blast! 13 years and still in love! Marshall family: (L-R: Kristi, Beth, Jon, Grace, and David). This is Shawnee Peak, on the outskirts of Bridgton. It is the local ski resort - perhaps next year we'll enjoy it up close! Monday, March 21, 2011. Pictures of our home when we first arrived! This is the front of our home - we live in a twin semi detached, although they call it an "apartment" here. It's the biggest apartment we have ever had in our life! This is the mud room, which connects our kitchen to the garage - very handy! This is the second floor of the garage. Up the stairs is an unfinished room with a pool table the owners are letting us use it. It's a little breezy for a game of billiards, but this is Maine!

Thursday, March 24, 2011. Highland Lake - 100 yards from our house! Joanne and the kids went for a stroll down by Highland Lake this afternoon. They saw some ducks; caught some snowflakes; and, had a great time enjoying what is called "spring" around here! Don't you see the flowers blooming underneath the snow? They are and will soon make an appearance! March 25, 2011 at 3:13 AM. Beautiful.and I bet the mosquitos will love it in the summer! Glad you are enjoying Maine! March 25, 2011 at 6:20 PM.
