Sparrows at Home: Restaurant Review: The Hop - Ice Cream Café in Asheville, NC

Tuesday, August 11, 2015. Restaurant Review: The Hop - Ice Cream Café in Asheville, NC. It is always a treat when we make a trip to Asheville, North Carolina. It is about a 5.5 hour drive from where we live, so it is not a trip we are able to make often. Not only is the Asheville area breathtakingly beautiful, they also have a huge vegetarian/vegan population. What does this mean for me? More places to eat out at! After a long day playing tourist, we stopped by The Hop - Ice Cream Café. Vegan Strawberry ...

Sparrows at Home: Week in Review 2015: #30 (Our Last Week of Summer)
http://www.sparrowsathome.com/2015/08/week-in-review-2015-30-our-last-week-of.html
Sunday, August 2, 2015. Week in Review 2015: #30 (Our Last Week of Summer). Our last week before school begins. Wow. Summer flew by fast! While most moms might be getting their kids on a schedule (go to bed early, wake up early) to prepare for the school year, I did the opposite. I let the kids stay in their pajamas all day if they desired, we watched movies late into the night (which is about 9 or 10 o'clock for them), and played all day. Okay,. Bridget will be starting a formal first grade curriculum.

Sparrows at Home: Recipes
http://www.sparrowsathome.com/p/recipes.html
Here are some of my family's favorite recipes from various cookbooks and websites that I have tried (credit is given within the individual posts). A few of the recipes are my own creation. Most of the recipes I post are vegan. This means they include no meat, no eggs, no dairy, or any other animal products. Most (if not all) of the recipes are also kid-friendly. I hate making separate meals for the adults and the kids, so I try to make meals that we all love. It saves me a lot of time! Straw and Hay Pasta.

2016 School House Reviews. Our Charlotte Mason Journey. Monday, January 9, 2017. Heart of Dakota and Placement. Sigh* I really wanted Heart of Dakota to work for us. I loved the concept of it, the layout of the teacher's guide, and the wonderful books that go with it. I tried so hard to make it work, but it just didn't. I am excited that we are starting Heart of Dakota again, at least with a few of mine! January 10, 2017 at 12:01 PM. At least youre getting to use it now. January 10, 2017 at 12:26 PM.

2016 School House Reviews. Our Charlotte Mason Journey. Friday, January 6, 2017. Week in Review: 1/2-1/6. Titus got a new toolbox for Christmas with a set of "real" pretend power tools. He quickly added his dad's hammer, a few nails, and a pair of work gloves to his toolbox. He totes this thing around outside, hammering nails into the ground and fixing all of their toys. I even heard him telling Silas what the storyline was. He was very detailed and used lots of expression when narrating! This is one of ...

Putting the new BBQ to great use with fresh veggies. Always have pretty flowers in the house. Our budding photographer getting close and personal with a bug on a flower. We acquired this fledgling garden box at the community garden after its original owners moved out of the neighborhood. It was neglected for quite while. We will see what becomes of it. The garden is a lovely spot to come and relax. Behind the chairs and table is a ravine with a creek in it. July 8, 2014 at 1:33 PM. July 8, 2014 at 9:12 PM.
