Monday, 10 September 2012. From where I sit typing this, I can turn to my left and see the kitchen. I check the view every couple of seconds, because it's constantly changing. It's that time of day when the shadows grow longer, the blinds are fully illuminated in a whitish-golden glow and outside, there is the hum of traffic as the town slows down for the day and the chirping of the rainbow lorikeets grows ever more present. Memorial Day brings a Rolling Thunder. I've seen it and HEARD it many times when I was living on the Hill. So many bikers and so much noise.
