His lungs wouldn't function and he had been in a chemically induced coma for almost 3 weeks. On June 17th, his heart gave out and he passed away. After 22 years and 51 weeks of marriage to a smoker, I have some observations for those who love someone who smokes. Company party in Galveston, TX 2008. Find the good hospital.

Wednesday, September 11, 2013. I got through the fly on all 3 pairs and I don't like any of them, and so they will be ripped. I think I need find wider zippers, with wider zipper tape for one thing. If you don't like it, you won't wear it! Rip, rip rip. Does anyone know of a good trouser zipper tutorial? Quick and easy to read is a must, otherwise I might as well be reading the old BWOF instructions. I used the Stitches and Seams tutorial. I don't want to order a yard of Riri. Tuesday, July 1, 2014. Marfy 0303 T-shirt pics. As styled for work with navy J.Crew pants. I like the front. The neckline hugs without pulling. The peak of the crossover looks nice. I serged and turned under the hem and it curled. It curled and curled and curled. I swear its about an inch longer (and needs to be) when it isn't curled. They best way that I found to keep knits flat for sewing is spray starch. Spray 'sizing' on the left, starch on the right. Seriously, hands down better than sizing spray.

Friday, June 26, 2015. Two Go Mad at Woolfest. In the front row we have a braid of gradient dyed baby alpaca from Hilltop Cloud in colourway Crocus. I plan to spin this one up in a light weight for a shawl as well. Then there are two packs of broken merino tops in red/black/white, and the teal Falkland Merino, both of which came from John Arbon. This item started out life as a bag of fluff, and I spun it, washed it, and knitted it into this. So I'm a proud mama even if it isn't perfect. Perhaps BECAUSE its not perfect. Thursday, June 4, 2015. So pleased with this one. Its my old favourite pattern, Vogue 9959 made in a gorgeous Amy Butler Print that I bought last year. I have lined the skirt as well, in a blue a little paler than the background of the motif, and this gives it a better drape and makes it more comfortable to wear. June 4, 2015 at 1:26 PM. As with the recent ponte top, I used the higher neckline I'd drafted to make the top suitable to take a stand collar. Monday, July 20, 2015. The Style Arc Cleo dress is my new favourite pattern. I'm quite obsessed with it and planning one in every colour. I altered the neckline though as I felt it was more open than I was comfortable with and I figured if I wanted one in every colour I may as well ring the changes with the necklines as well, particularly as not all fabrics would lend themselves to the favoured polo neck version.
