Living Below the Line. Follow my journey living below the poverty line. £1 a day for 5 days! Could you live below the line? Saturday, 12 May 2012. I'm so pleased to have finished this week. I'm proud that I have managed to do it and have resisted many temptations. Yesterday was by far the easiest day. I had lots of bread left and biscuits to snack on so I didn't get hungry at all, and I knew I was counting down to midnight when I could eat anything I wanted. This is me looking very happy with my last meal.

Today has been much easier, I think I am getting used to not snacking and am coping well with my self discipline. I have now been shopping of my food for next week. I suprised myself at how enthusiastic I became about what I was going to buy, and found that I was getting way to excited about finding a can of Kidney Beans for 18p rather than 27p! The rest of my list consists of:. 2 Tins of Chickpeas @ 25p each = 50p. 500g Frozen Spinach @ 50p.
