Wednesday, July 29, 2009. Melissa, a volunteer here who speaks creole, sat down with me and tutu, and explained to her that I had to leave tomorrow. She said she understood what Melissa was telling her and she just got really quiet, but then we danced and had fun so she was okay. Well a week late and after a 51 hour labour, Jessica Ruth Hambleton finally made her entrance at 6am on 7/7/11 weighing a healthy 8lbs 1oz and yes as expected she’s turned our world upside down (mostly in a good way). Mark is a very proud daddy and even within a few hours of Jess being born had her daddy wrapped round her little finger! Mark is an amazing daddy and has been fantastic with both Jess and me (and I am very glad he can now multitask). So now we are 3!
