Harvest to Holidays | Becca's Garden
https://beccasbloominblog.wordpress.com/2013/11/07/harvest-to-holidays
My garden: themes, adventures, work and analogies. Savoring the memories of having the boys here, I switched my focus the best I could and began to scurry around to accomplish something “harvest-y”. Without my big garden, I had to get at least a smidgen of something “put by” just to feel that I had redeemed the time! No matter; it was time for the holidays. First we had a family wedding in November, which brought a short but timely visit from Angie and Delaney. It was a long weekend that turned short...
Winter Moon Rising | Becca's Garden

My garden: themes, adventures, work and analogies. First, I was anxious to try my Butternut Squash project. I had seen an online video about growing, dehydrating, and storing Butternut Squash to use for pies instead of pumpkin–although I think I will try it with pumpkin next year as well. After leaving the squashes in the garden as long as possible, I snatched them up just in time; the frost had withered the vines but the squashes were intact! Sun Sets on 2011. As the sun set on 2011, our outdoor enthusi...
July is for JOY | Becca's Garden
https://beccasbloominblog.wordpress.com/2011/10/27/july-is-for-joy
My garden: themes, adventures, work and analogies. July is for JOY. The early summer rainfall was great for the water supply and gardeners who braved the wind and stormy weather and got their plants in the ground in June; the problem was that I was not one of those! So by the time the weather welcomed me to the backyard, there were more weeds than anything else! My mom loves the wild poppies that sprout like a carpet in my gardens. They were here to STAY! When your life is busy, a garden is like a cupboa...
Summer’s End | Becca's Garden

My garden: themes, adventures, work and analogies. Painting the Garden Bench. I was remembering an old childhood rhyme about a very unique party. I quote: “I had a little tea party this afternoon at Three; ‘Twas very small, three guests in all; Just I, Myself, and Me! Myself ate up the sandwiches while I drank up the tea; ‘Twas also I, who ate the pie; and passed the cake to Me! But it was not to be…. Fresh Basil to Dry. Dried Basil to Chop. New Tools.or Toys! Sweet, Whizzing Summer | Becca's Garden

My garden: themes, adventures, work and analogies. Sweet, Whizzing Summer. 8230;and “neglect them” I did! Not intentionally, of course; I was just out of time before I hardly got going. After finishing the deck-painting project, I was at least able to finish my deck pots and plant a beautiful new clematis at the base of each newly painted deck post. That was a good feeling. 8220;Not bad,” I clucked to myself as I studied the new look of the gorgeous climbers against the tidy, white posts. You are comment...

Shepherd of My Flock | Tales Of An Urban Chickeneer

Tales Of An Urban Chickeneer. Shepherd of My Flock. December 13, 2011 · Filed under Musings. Update: After our neighbor saw our “fox” up behind our house on the hillside he suggested that it may a coyote, not a fox. After looking up some images on google we have to come to the conclusion that we seem to have a neighborhood coyote, not a fox. We are finding out that we have much to learn in wildlife indentification. Thank goodness our veteran neighbors are so gracious and patient:). Enter your comment here.

That’s a beautiful story. It would be to anyone’s benefit to have such an honest and sincere prayer offered in their behalf, though; so I hope some day you will be able to muster a little more confidence there. I wish you were praying for ME right now! I got a spider bite in the garden and my whole leg hurts!

Remarkable Days: New for today
http://amarkis.blogspot.com/2015/01/new-for-today.html
The situation of Life- as depicted by one who "remarks" on certain days and emotion filled thoughts. Monday, January 5, 2015. Well, I learned a lot and here are a couple thoughts:. Nothing on Earth is as stable as it seems. Friends come and go. Love can be found unexpectedly. I am blessed beyond measure to have the children that i have. True joy is found in giving and sharing small moments. Life is bigger than my mistakes. It is ok to ask for help. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).
Remarkable Days: Boxes

The situation of Life- as depicted by one who "remarks" on certain days and emotion filled thoughts. Thursday, May 14, 2015. I have learned to put things in boxes. It helps me move forward and take next steps. Sometimes you don't have to have all the peices figured out. just put them back in the box for a while and try again a different day. I tend to do that with my emotional hardship too. box it up until I have time to look/feel and figure out. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Blogs of Interest to me.

The situation of Life- as depicted by one who "remarks" on certain days and emotion filled thoughts. Tuesday, April 14, 2015. 7 yrs- 11mo- 22days and counting. Counting Again.. I am so torn today, for April always brings the rain for me. A cold rain, not the gentle kind that mists the leaves into a shinning remnant or causes pollen to drip like honey from the tree limbs. No, this rain hits hard and fast. This rain brings Cold Shivers and Quivering lips. Last year, the Real World mirrored my reeling mind...

Tales Of An Urban Chickeneer. November 9, 2011 · Filed under Musings. I had ordered new chicks about a month ago and got them in the mail all fluffy and healthy. I pulled up their chick pictures on the website so that I could identify each one. It never ceases to amaze and thrill me to see my little bundles of downy feathers turn into a beautiful egg producing bird. The before and after never gets old. 2 Responses so far ». Jag har kommit in i en liten promenad-period. Idag blev det 2 en-timmars. Det är så skönt att rensa alla sina tankar. Kom nyss in från en promenad med mycket tänkande, nästan för mycket.
