How much do you tell to someone new? | Invisibly Different
https://invisiblydifferent.wordpress.com/2015/05/12/how-much-do-you-tell-to-someone-new
How much do you tell to someone new? May 12, 2015. Of course I knew the are you in a relationship or single type question would likely be asked at some point. When It did I told them I was happily single, as sometimes when you tell people you’re single they think you must be looking for a partner/wanting a partner. It was a mostly positive response but I felt a little awkward when one woman said oh I applaud your life choices. Um thanks? It was a choice? Are you paying together? May 14, 2015 at 4:49 am.

dappled with dew: January 2015
http://dappledwithdew.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html
Monday, 19 January 2015. I'm into poetry at the moment, or sentences that are poetic. Maybe it's the influence of John Banville, who I've been reading. I have a line of his (from The Sea. On my desk, which I look at every so often. Iwent softly past the silent and unseeing house and walked down Station Road in the polished pewter light of the emptied afternoon. Here's a poem I wrote a couple of years ago:. Stopping in the Rain. In the headlights the child was. Shadowed by a black and huge umbrella. One r...

dappled with dew: December 2014
http://dappledwithdew.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Monday, 15 December 2014. I’ve not posted anything for ages, and the reason is that I’ve been working seriously on my next novel, and the plot, the characters and the setting are all I can think about. In part I owe this burst of creativity to my writing friend, Les, who has been texting me daily and urging me to Do some writing now! As an aside, I think everybody could do with a friend like this, but I would really like it if he made a little detour one day, and sms’ed Do some baking now! What’s i...

dappled with dew: The Last Goodbye
http://dappledwithdew.blogspot.com/2015/05/the-last-goodbye.html
Tuesday, 19 May 2015. I have to carry you out to the car. Once upon a time I wouldn’t have managed but there’s nothing much to you now. I settle you on the rug. Talk softly. Avoid your eyes. It takes us no time at all to reach the surgery, so I open the door and sit down alongside you and we watch the sun on the weeds between the concrete cracks. You seem content, if a little puzzled, but I can’t tell you what’s happening. I can’t speak right now. I don’t let go of you. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

dappled with dew: Dirty Secrets
http://dappledwithdew.blogspot.com/2015/06/dirty-secrets.html
Wednesday, 24 June 2015. I am sharing some writing today. When I visit other writers' websites I always want to read some of their work, see how they write. This story was written in the aftermath of the Queensland floods at the end of 2010. I didn’t notice him amongst the crowd. Why would I? I was preoccupied, going through my goods and chattels on the nature strip. There was stuff out there that well-meaning people had turfed out, just bloody turfed out. Pass me the ashtray, would you? Straight off....

http://dappledwithdew.blogspot.com/2015/05/stillness.html
Tuesday, 26 May 2015. We went to a friend's farm on the weekend and I took some photos. I took this one on the drive out there in the late afternoon. 31 May 2015 at 16:39. Gorgeous photo Kathy. The light is spectacular! Where about was this? The drive home from Brisbane to Toowoomba in the late afternoon is pretty special too, the scenery is similar. Love this line The day was dying and I wouldve liked to have held its hand. Gorgeous :). 7 June 2015 at 14:56. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

dappled with dew: March 2015
http://dappledwithdew.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html
Monday, 9 March 2015. It's been a while since I posted anything because I've been supremely busy. And while that sounds supremely smug, I am not. Smug. I've been busy because I've had the good fortune to have my Gothic Sargasso. One of the suggestions the editor had, was that I restructure the novel by combining Part I with Part II. Part I covers the childhood of my protagonist,. Poppy - let's call her Poppy. It's a nice name and it's not her name -. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). The Ri...
