When the brain perceives danger the Pre-Frontal cortex (where the thinking logically, and information processesing happens) has a tough time thinking clearly. The Lymbic system is in charge of our emotions and the stem of our brain is in charge of three things: Breathing, Heart Rate, and Blood Pressure.
