The Friends of Beckenham Place Park. Is run by Friends of BPP unpaid volunteers and is situated in the ground floor of the Mansion. It is open from 1.30 to 3.30 pm on Sunday afternoons . There is a lot of information on park history, things to see and look for in the park, information leaflets, books for sale etc. Also a chance to see the reception rooms of this 18th century Adam style building. A lot of information in a small space.

The Friends of Beckenham Place Park. How to get there. By Bus: The 54 bus route. From Lewisham and Elmers End. Stops on Beckenham Hill outside the main gate or at the park entrance near Braeside (top of Beckenham Hill) . Buses passing through Downham will get to within a quarter mile of the Old Bromley Road entrance. By Rail: Beckenham Junction, New Beckenham and Lower Sydenham stations are about 15 minutes walk from the park. Shows good aerial views of the park - For a map and directions see.

The Friends of Beckenham Place Park. There are litter bins for any rubbish from picnics. The garden follows this plan for touch, sight, smell, sound as far as possible but some plants have attributes for more than one sense e.g. herbs that release scent when touched.
