On 20th July 2007, the Met Office reported the wettest day on record in many parts of the South-West Midlands beating levels recorded in 1936. The floods of 2013/2014 have made no significant impact on the levels in Carrant Brook. After 18 hours of rainfall over an area stretching from the Thames Valley north-westwards across the Cotswolds and Severn Valley to Mid Wales, local residents reported the flooding reaching the points shown at numbers 1-3 on the plans.
